Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet SU-100 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The model faithfully captures the characteristic low silhouette of the vehicle with its fixed fighting superstructure and its massive 100 mm gun. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the contents of the package and the exact number of parts, go by the details on the box.
The SU-100 was a Soviet self-propelled gun of the Second World War that grew out of the earlier SU-85 type. Because the 85 mm gun lacked penetration against the new German heavy tanks, the new vehicle received a powerful 100 mm D-10S gun. Its design came from the proven and mass-produced chassis of the T-34 medium tank, thanks to which the SU-100 was reliable, mobile and effective against armored vehicles. It was used in the final phase of the war and remained in service with a number of armies long afterwards.
Use a thin modeling cement for plastic and clean the parts up with a sharp knife. Finish and paint the running gear (wheels, rollers and tracks) and any details of the superstructure before you close and glue the hull - they are harder to reach later. Apply the base with an airbrush, grade the color and bring the surface to life with a wash into the pressings and the rivets. You will create mud and dust effects on the running gear and the underside of the hull with pigments; wear the gun and the edges with the drybrush technique.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
