About product

T-26 mod.1931 1:35 (Hobby Boss)

An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet light tank T-26 in the mod.1931 version in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The set captures the early twin-turret form of the vehicle and is rounded out with photo-etched parts and a decal.

The real subject

The T-26 was a Soviet light infantry tank of the interwar period which grew out of a British Vickers design. The mod.1931 version had two separate turrets with machine gun armament. The tank was one of the most widespread Soviet armored vehicles of the 1930s and was committed in a number of conflicts before the Second World War and at its beginning.

Building and painting tips

Assemble the running gear and both turrets carefully. Use thin cement on the plastic, treat the surface with a primer and apply the paints with an airbrush. Interwar Soviet green comes out well with gentle emphasis on the edges and dust weathering.

Who the model is for

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.

  • For anyone interested in interwar Soviet equipment
  • For collectors of light tanks
  • For modelers with basic experience of photo-etched parts
  • For lovers of 1:35 scale
