The T-34/85 was a development stage of the Soviet T-34 medium tank in which the original turret was replaced by a larger three-man turret with an 85 mm gun. Enlarging the turret crew freed the commander from operating the weapon and improved the handling of the vehicle in action; the larger caliber in turn extended the effective range. The powerplant was a V-2 diesel engine. Tanks built at different plants differed in a number of details - the shape of the turret castings, the position of the fittings, the design of the tanks and the road wheels - and that is exactly why the plant and the period are stated with T-34 models.
Deal with the running gear and the inside of the hull before you close the hull up - adding things later is awkward on the T-34. If the track links are separate, assemble them on a flat surface and let them cure thoroughly, otherwise the track will twist while being fitted. Painting: build the basic green shade up in layers and shade it with a lighter color in the middle of the large surfaces, so that the model does not look flat. Soviet tanks had coarsely finished cast surfaces and welds - after spraying it is good to bring them out with a dark wash and a dry brush. Apply dust and mud from the bottom upward, with an emphasis on the fenders and the area around the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
