This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from MiniArt captures the Soviet T-55A medium tank in its late production form of 1965. MiniArt is known for richly detailed molds with a large number of small parts, so the model offers a high level of detail. The T-55 was among the most widespread tanks of the Cold War and served in dozens of armies around the world. The T-55A version brought improved crew protection and further changes over the basic T-55. The tank was powered by a diesel engine and the main armament was a 100 mm gun. The late variant from the mid-1960s reflects the production changes of the period.
Given the fine parts, work with a sharp knife and thin cement for plastic. Finish and paint the running gear and any interior before you close up the hull. Spray the base coat with an airbrush over a primer; the weathering is created with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects. We recommend a varnish compatible with the paint used under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
