An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-72 main battle tank in 1:35 scale from Amusing Hobby. The model captures the cast hull and turret, the 125 mm gun with an autoloader and the characteristic running gear. Amusing Hobby kits from this line tend to be richly detailed, with photo-etched sheet and individual track links; check the exact contents and the variant against the particular box.
The T-72 was a Soviet main battle tank accepted into service in 1973. The combination of a 125 mm gun with an autoloader, compact dimensions and low weight made it one of the most widely used tanks in the world, produced in many countries and fielded by dozens of armies. Thanks to easy production and maintenance it stayed in service in many variants for long decades.
First assemble the running gear, any interior and the individual track links, and only then close the hull and the turret — the tracks and the inside are hard to reach afterwards. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Unify the base with a primer and spray the basic shade with an airbrush. The patina is provided by washes in the details and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
