The injection-molded plastic kit represents the German heavy tank Tiger I in the rendering of the combat group Gruppe Fehrmann of the spring of 1945 in northern Germany. The model in 1:35 scale from the maker Rye Field Model offers a detailed hull, a separate upper part, workable torsion bars, individual workable track links, photo-etch and a choice of several gun mantlets. It is a richly equipped kit for demanding modelers.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War, famous for its heavy armor and its effective gun. In the closing stage of the war, older machines from training grounds and training units were sent into combat as well. The combat group under the command of the officer Fehrmann arose precisely from hardware gathered in this way, and it was committed in the north of Germany in 1945.
On a tracked vehicle, finish the running gear and the lower part of the hull first; the workable torsion bars allow the tank to be seated realistically even on uneven ground. The individual track links will call for patience. It is practical to paint the turret and the upper part separately. For the patina use washes into the details and pigments for dust, mud and the traces of service in the closing stage of the war.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
