An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli tank Tiran 4 in the late version (Late Type) in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a well-detailed model without a full interior which, according to the manufacturer, offers clear parts, a photo-etched sheet, workable torsion bars, segmented tracks, two types of road wheel and a generous choice of decals for several marking options. The hatches can be shown open or closed.
Tiran 4 is the Israeli designation for the Soviet medium tank T-54, which the Israeli army captured from the Arab states during the wars of the 1960s and then took into its own service. The captured machines were given Israeli modifications, carried Western armament and additional equipment and served for a number of years. The late version (Late Type) is marked by its characteristic stowage baskets, additional tanks and other items that set it apart from the original Soviet configuration.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies; finish the running gear before closing up the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts and the segmented tracks with cyanoacrylate glue, and let the tracks dry in place as they are fitted. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. Israeli desert machines suit weathering with dust pigments and discreet wear on the edges and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
