The Ya-12 was a Soviet light tracked artillery tractor developed during the Second World War and built in Yaroslavl. It served to tow guns and to carry crews and ammunition; series production got under way in 1943. Ya-12 tractors stayed in the armament of the Soviet and Czechoslovak armies for a number of years after the war.
It is a kit with a high parts count, so it is better left to more experienced modelers. Follow the instructions and assemble and, where needed, paint the engine compartment and the running gear before you close up the hull. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. For a convincing look, use washes and pigments for mud and dust effects at the end; painting with an airbrush and picking out the detail with a brush is the way to go.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
