1:35 TRAFFIC SIGNS AFGHANISTAN 2000’s

1:35 Traffic signs Afghanistan (the 2000s)

A diorama accessory in 1:35 scale representing a set of Afghan traffic and road signs of the 2000s period. It serves to enliven dioramas and vignettes on modern military themes. It is not a vehicle model or a kit of a complete scene but a stand-alone set of accessories for finishing off a setting.

The theme

The road signage of Afghan roads from that period often appears in period photographs of convoys and patrols. Faithful boards and signs give a scene local color and place it in time and geography.

Use and building

• Assemble the accessory and place it in a diorama beside vehicles and figures in 1:35 scale.
• Spray the faces of the signs with a base color and bring out the motifs, adding weathering if you wish.
• Use washes, pigments and dust effects for a weathered look matching the desert.
• Anchor the posts and stands firmly in the base of the diorama.

Who it is for

• For builders of dioramas on modern military themes.
• For modelers who want to give a scene a faithful local setting.

This is a diorama accessory, not a complete model. Vehicles, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package.
