An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Dodge WC light military vehicle of the 3/4 ton class with 4x4 drive in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. The model offers a detailed ladder frame, a chassis with drive shafts, the engine bay, the cab and the cargo bed. The box contains rubber tires, a decal sheet and, according to the manufacturer, small photo-etched parts as well. AFV Club is among the respected manufacturers of the WC series of vehicles.
The Dodge WC was a numerous family of light military vehicles with all-wheel drive, which the US Army used extensively during the Second World War. The 3/4 ton class vehicles served in many roles, as weapons carriers, command and reconnaissance vehicles, ambulances or light cargo and liaison trucks. They were simple, reliable and easy to repair, which made them one of the mainstays of American logistics on every front.
Assemble the frame with the chassis and the drivetrain, and paint the engine bay and the cab interior before they are closed up. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and any photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer and spray olive green with an airbrush; the weathering comes from a wash, picking out the edges and dust and mud pigments on the chassis and the tires.
