An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A3 Sherman medium tank with a 75 mm gun in its late production version (nicknamed Cougar) in 1:35 scale from Asuka (formerly Tasca). The Shermans from this brand are among the best rated on the market thanks to the accuracy of their shapes and their fine detail. The model has a newly tooled late high turret.
The M4 Sherman was the main American medium tank of the Second World War, committed by the Allies on every front. The M4A3 variant was powered by a Ford gasoline engine and in late production received a number of improvements to the hull and the turret. The version with the 75 mm gun remained a general-purpose machine for infantry support and for fighting armored vehicles alike. Late examples carried a cast high turret and changes to the armor.
Assemble and refine the running gear, the wheels and the tracks before painting the hull. A base coat of primer, an airbrush and an Olive Drab base with subsequent lightening of the surfaces all prove their worth. Bring out the details with a wash in the joints, the edges and rivets with a dry brush, and weather the tracks and the chassis with pigments. The accurate fit of the Asuka parts makes the build considerably easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
