An injection-molded plastic kit of the British FV103 CVR(T) Spartan tracked armored personnel carrier in the form used by the Ukrainian armed forces, in 1:35 scale by Gecko Models. The package combines finely shaped plastic parts with photo-etched elements, clear parts and decals, and it adds a heavy machine gun for the up-gunned configuration.
The FV103 Spartan belongs to the British family of light tracked CVR(T) vehicles (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance, Tracked). It serves as an armored personnel carrier for a small specialist section, is fast and light and suits reconnaissance, communications and the carriage of weapon crews. The British Army brought it into service at the end of the 1970s; a number of machines reached the Ukrainian army, where they serve in the current fighting.
Finish the running gear and the lower hull first and only then close up the upper parts. Assemble the individual link tracks carefully and bond the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate); use thin modeling cement on the plastic. Spray the base green or camouflage scheme with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add dust and mud pigments for field weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
