This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter captures the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle in the version used by the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates, in 1:35 scale. The model is richly divided, contains clear parts and a photo-etched element and offers interior detail as well. The kit is meant to be assembled and painted.
The BMP-3 is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle developed in the Soviet Union and taken into service at the end of the 1980s. It is marked out by its amphibious capability and by the powerful combined armament in the turret. Besides the Russian army, a number of foreign users operate the vehicle; the United Arab Emirates are among the major operators and their vehicles carry characteristic equipment for service in desert conditions.
Given the rich division and the interior detail, follow the instructions and finish the running gear and the interior before you close up the hull. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, lay down a base coat and apply the final shade with an airbrush. Light washes and dust pigments will complete the desert look.
