1:35 US T34 Heavy Tank is a plastic kit of the American heavy tank with a 120 mm gun from Hobby Boss. It is not the Soviet T-34.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American T34 heavy tank in 1:35 scale from the Chinese manufacturer Hobby Boss. One important clarification right at the start: despite the similar designation this is not the Soviet T-34 medium tank but an American heavy machine from the end of the Second World War. The exact contents of the package are given on the box.
The American T34 heavy tank came out of the T29 and T30 development series that the United States launched as an answer to the German heavy tanks. All three machines shared a massive chassis with extended running gear and a large turret for a multi-man crew. What distinguishes them is the main weapon: while the T29 received a 105 mm gun and the T30 a 155 mm howitzer, the T34 carried a 120 mm gun derived from an anti-aircraft gun, supplemented by a large counterweight at the rear of the turret. The vehicles were built only as prototypes and neither series production nor combat use followed, but they served as a testing basis for the postwar development of American heavy vehicles.
The running gear on this type is extensive, so paint the wheels and tracks separately from the hull before the final assembly. Fit the long barrel at the very end so that it does not bend during handling. Prototype machines are usually displayed in a uniform olive tone without colorful markings, which makes a fine wash into the engraved lines, edges accentuated with a dry brush and restrained dust pigments on the suspension stand out all the more.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
