This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the LAV-AT wheeled anti-tank vehicle of the US Marine Corps. The box contains sprues of gray plastic, an eight-wheel chassis with rubber tires, the hull with its elevating anti-tank turret and photo-etched parts including the engine compartment screens. Markings and assembly instructions are included.
The LAV-AT is the anti-tank version of the LAV family of wheeled armored vehicles of the US Marine Corps. It carries an elevating missile turret with TOW anti-tank guided missiles, with which it provides mobile fire support against armored targets and fortifications. The vehicle is designed for cross-country use, is all-weather capable and can be transported by air.
First assemble the chassis and the wheels, then the hull and the launcher turret. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and the fine photo-etched screens with cyanoacrylate glue. Treat the surface with a primer and paint with an airbrush; bring out the underside and the wheels with washes and pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
