1:35 Village transformer house

Village transformer house (1:35, Plusmodel)

This is a diorama accessory - a model of a village transformer house cast in resin and plaster (a hardened plaster casting). It is not a vehicle or a figure, but a building that will give a scene the believable setting of the European countryside. A small but striking element around which a whole story of a diorama can be built.

Contents and character

The building consists of castings that have to be cleaned, fitted together and painted. The structure of the brickwork and the plaster is in fine relief and, once painted and weathered, comes across as very realistic.

Building and painting tips

• Wash any residues of mold release agent off the castings and let the plaster parts dry out well.
• Fit them together with super glue or white glue according to the type of part.
• Paint the base, pick the brickwork out with glazes, washes and dry brushing; sand with protection of the airways.

Who it is for

• Makers of dioramas set in the European countryside.
• Modelers of military and civilian vehicles who want to give a scene some context.

The building is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package.
