This is a photo-etched metal diorama accessory which is not a model of a vehicle or a kit. It reproduces a wrought entrance wicket gate of type C in 1:35 scale, that is the narrower single-leaf entrance for people beside a larger vehicle gate. The thin etched form faithfully captures the latticework and the ironwork.
A wicket gate completes the fencing of a scene and offers a natural entrance for figures. It goes together with the matching vehicle gate and fence of the same type, so a continuous fence can be built around buildings or a vehicle position.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a base color for metal. A wrought look is supported by a dark base, dry-brushing in a metallic shade and rusty washes.
