Tiger I Late Production 1:35 is a richly equipped kit of the late Tiger I with zimmerit, a metal barrel, photo-etch and individual track links.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Tiger I heavy tank in its late production form. Zimmerit, the antimagnetic coating, is molded directly onto the parts including the one-piece turret, so the laborious application is done away with. The set also contains a turned metal gun barrel, photo-etched parts, individual track links that assemble without glue, copper cable and details such as the headlamp with its cable run. Some internal assemblies are modeled as well, for example the fuel tank, the radiator and the fan.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank with an 8.8 cm gun and thick frontal armor that in 1944 still held the upper hand in a long-range duel. Late machines differ from early ones in their all-steel road wheels, a new commander cupola and other changes that simplified production. The set is tied to the machine with turret number 007, which was lost in August 1944 in the fighting in Normandy near the village of Cintheaux.
Finish and paint the running gear before you fit the side plates. Assemble the track links in longer runs and let them set in a natural sag. The molded zimmerit comes out when a dark wash flows into its grooves and the edges are lightly highlighted. Degrease the metal barrel before painting and lay down a primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
