This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the American LCM(3) landing craft of the Second World War period. The box contains sprues of gray plastic, a detailed hull, a folding bow ramp, the interior of the cargo well and photo-etched parts. Markings and assembly instructions are included.
The LCM (Landing Craft Mechanized) was the most widespread type of landing craft for carrying equipment during the Second World War. The LCM(3) version had a lengthened hull and a greater load capacity, thanks to which it could carry even a medium tank or cargo and troops. The craft had a crew of four and was armed with two 12.7 mm machine guns.
Assemble and paint the hull and the cargo well before you close the sides; the folding ramp can be left movable. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Treat the surface with a primer and paint with an airbrush. The model can be completed with a waterline or mounted on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
