A hand pump in a yard is an object that gives a diorama a reason: people go to water, they stop at water, equipment and people get washed there. That is exactly why a scene forms around it by itself. According to the manufacturer the set contains five parts for one pump, that is including the handle and the spout. It is not a vehicle or building kit but an accessory that you set into the terrain.
The package contains five parts for one garden pump in 1:35 scale. Terrain, a trough, paints and glue are not included.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the surfaces up with a file, and sand with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Paint the cast iron body dark and add rust where water runs down, that is under the spout and at the foot. Leave the grip of the handle polished to a shinier metal, because it was touched every day. A puddle of acrylic gel suits the ground under the spout.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
