Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the towed ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft weapon in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Eastern Express. The model consists of sprues of plastic parts, decals and instructions; the modeler has to assemble and paint it. The large carriage with both barrels and folding outriggers is a rewarding subject as a standalone exhibit on a base as well as an accessory in a diorama with vehicles.
The ZU-23-2 is a Soviet towed twin-barrel 23 mm automatic gun introduced at the end of the 1950s. Thanks to its high rate of fire and the ability to change quickly from the travel to the firing position, it became one of the most widely used light anti-aircraft weapons in the world and is still used against low-flying and ground targets today.
Liquid cement for plastic and careful cleaning of the parting surfaces are recommended. Cut the fine parts of the barrels and the sights away carefully. Apply a primer before painting, spray protective green with an airbrush and pick out the details with a dry brush; washes and pigments give the weapon realistic dust and wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
