Flyhawk 356 mm/45 metal gun barrels 1:350 are turned replacement barrels for the main armament of models of the Japanese Kongo and Fuso class battleships.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right. The set holds precisely turned metal barrels of 356 mm (14 inch) caliber, 45 calibers long (L/45), for the main guns of Japanese battleships. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts from a kit and bring a perfectly straight shape, a symmetrical muzzle and fine detail with no parting seams.
The 356 mm/45 caliber made up the main armament of the fast battleships of the Kongo class and the battleships of the Fuso class of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War. These were massive guns mounted in turrets along the length of the hull.
Separate the barrels carefully, clean off any flash and degrease them. Spray the metal with a primer for metal first, so that the paint holds well, and glue with super glue. The muzzles of the barrels have a clean shape, so they stand out even after washes and naval weathering have been applied.
These are replacement parts, not a kit in their own right. The base ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
