A set of eight 10.5 cm SK C/33 anti-aircraft guns for the Bismarck and the Tirpitz, 1:350 scale from Spalah. A resin accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for a model, not a ship kit: a set of heavy anti-aircraft armament of 10.5 cm caliber in the SK C/33 mounting for the German battleships Bismarck and Tirpitz in 1:350 scale. The box states eight pieces. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its parts from photopolymer resin and supplies them with print supports. Thin twin barrels and an open shield are among the parts where plastic from a kit necessarily simplifies the shape.
The heavy anti-aircraft armament of the Bismarck consisted of sixteen 10.5 cm guns in eight twin mounts along the sides of the upper deck. It was a weapon intended against aircraft at higher altitude, complemented by lighter guns for close-in defense. The eight pieces in the set therefore correspond to the eight twin mounts on the real ship, not to eight individual barrels.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and sand the marks with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The barrels are very thin, so handle the parts with flat-jawed tweezers. Paint the mounts separately, off the hull and preferably with an airbrush, and fit them only onto the painted upper deck. Wash the gun muzzles with a very dark color.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
