Injection-molded plastic kit of the Royal Navy frigate HMS Monmouth (F235) in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. It is a full-hull model with a multi-part hull and superstructures; the box contains a photo-etched fret and a shipborne helicopter. The model is meant to be assembled, painted and displayed on a stand.
HMS Monmouth is one of the Type 23 frigates, a class named after British dukes and also known as the Duke class. These are multi-purpose vessels with an emphasis on anti-submarine warfare, equipped with guided missiles, a gun and a shipborne helicopter. HMS Monmouth was launched in the first half of the 1990s.
Glue the hull with thin cement for plastic and clean up the joints carefully. A primer base, airbrush painting and bringing the decks to life with a wash and a dry brush are the way to go. Glue the photo-etched railings and antennas with cyanoacrylate glue, and the helicopter cockpit can be glazed with the clear parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
