IJN Super Yamato Deluxe Kit 1:350 is a richly equipped multimedia kit of the projected Japanese super battleship of the Kii class. Besides plastic, the Deluxe version includes photo-etch, resin, brass gun barrels and a wooden deck.

The Deluxe boxing combines injection-molded plastic with a set of details: photo-etched parts, resin components, turned brass gun barrels and a wooden deck. It is an extensive and demanding project for advanced builders and collectors of ship models. The release is a limited edition.
The so-called Super Yamato refers to the projected Kii class (the A-150 design studies), which was to follow on from the famous Yamato class battleships and surpass them with heavier armor and armament. The ships never reached construction, because the priorities of the Japanese fleet shifted to aircraft carriers during the war. The model thus brings to life one of the most powerful battleships never built.
Choose either a full-hull build or the waterline option, depending on how you plan to display it. Assemble the hull and superstructures first and use the photo-etch for railings, ladders and fine details. The wooden deck and the brass gun barrels raise the realism markedly. A display stand suits the model well, and an airbrush with the gray shades of the Imperial Japanese Navy is the way to paint it; a final wash will bring out the layout of the deck.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
