The Schleswig-Holstein Battleship 1935 is a plastic kit of the German Deutschland class battleship in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter, in her 1935 fit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the German battleship SMS Schleswig-Holstein as she was in 1935. The set from Trumpeter contains a large number of parts, a photo-etched fret and a ship stand; the hull can be built as a full hull or as a waterline version. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Schleswig-Holstein was the last of the five units of the Deutschland (Braunschweig) class. These were so-called pre-dreadnoughts, already obsolete against the new dreadnoughts when they entered service. In the 1930s the ship served as a training vessel, and in this later form she was marked by a reworked superstructure and armament.
With ships in this scale it pays to finish and paint the deck and the hull first, and only then to fit the small photo-etched parts and the railings. We recommend a thin plastic cement, cyanoacrylate for the photo-etch, a primer and an airbrush for even shades of gray. Dark washes and drybrushing will bring out the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
