A set of turned brass barrels for the battleship HMS Dreadnought (1:350, Aber) for models of British warships. A metal detail accessory replacing the plastic barrels of the armament.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Polish maker Aber contains turned brass barrels in 1:350 scale for models of the British battleship HMS Dreadnought. It is not a ship model but an accurate metal accessory that replaces the plastic barrels and gives the guns a crisp, faithful profile.
HMS Dreadnought of 1906 was a landmark battleship that gave its name to a whole new generation of vessels with its uniform heavy artillery. It carried ten 305 mm (12 inch) guns in twin turrets and left every older battleship behind.
You carefully cut the plastic barrels off and replace them with the brass ones. Glue the metal with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and degrease the joint beforehand. A primer coat and a shade matching British naval camouflage of the early century are recommended.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in itself. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
