An injection-molded plastic kit of the assault amphibious carrier of the US Marine Corps in the small naval scale of 1:350. The package contains four vehicles, so it suits above all as an addition to models of amphibious assault and landing ships or to naval dioramas depicting a landing.
The AAV-7A1 (formerly the LVTP-7) is a fully tracked amphibious vehicle of the US Marine Corps. It serves to carry troops from ships to the shore: it can swim with the help of its tracks and water jets and continue on land after landing. In US Marine Corps service it has been the backbone of amphibious operations for many years.
In this scale the parts are small, so a sharp knife, a fine file and careful cutting from the sprue all pay off. Glue with a thin cement for plastic applied in small drops. For painting, a base shade and a light wash into the recesses are quite enough; excessive detail would be lost in 1:350.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
