Responsibility details are not available.
USS Intrepid is an American aircraft carrier of the Essex class, commissioned in 1943. Ships of this class formed the core of the American forces in the Pacific during the Second World War, and Intrepid was among the best known of them. After the war she served on and went through rebuilds; among other things she took part in recovering space capsules from the sea. Today she lies in New York as a museum ship, so the real subject can be seen in person.
The 1:350 scale is the established standard for large warships, but on an aircraft carrier it means a substantial piece: the length of the finished model comes out at around 75 cm. Reckon in advance with room in a display case and with where you will put the model down during the build.
Watch the long hull while gluing, so that it does not stay twisted: let the assembly cure on a flat board and fill and sand the seams. Paint the flight deck separately from the sides of the hull, mask the boundary precisely and add the small parts, such as the boats, the guns and the aircraft, only at the end. Apply the paint in thin coats. Photo-etched accessories, that is railings and nets, are sold separately for ships and do a model a great deal of good, but reckon with delicate work with tweezers.
Paints, glue and putty are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
