A photo-etched non-skid deck for British warships 1:350 from Flyhawk faithfully replaces the texture of the non-skid surface of the decks. It is not a model of a ship but a photo-etched accessory for raising the detail of a build.

This photo-etched set from the maker Flyhawk faithfully reproduces the non-skid surface of the decks of British warships of the period of the Second World War. It is not a kit of a ship but a fine photo-etched sheet that is applied to the smooth decks of a plastic model and gives them the realistic structure that injection-molded plastic cannot capture.
Real decks and the roofs of turrets were given a non-skid treatment, so that the crew did not slip when they were wet. In 1:350 scale this fine texture is a key visual element that lifts the plausibility of a whole model. The photo-etched part is glued to the appropriate areas and once painted it creates a convincing impression of real steel.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife for photo-etched parts, glue them with thin super glue (cyanoacrylate) and degrease the area before fitting. Once it is glued on, apply a base (primer) and spray the paint with an airbrush, so that the fine relief stays legible.
The photo-etched accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
