1:43 Skoda 1203 (1974) – SOOL is a finished collector's model of the legendary Czechoslovak van in a period service configuration. It is not a kit – the model is neither assembled nor painted by you.

A collector's model of the Czechoslovak utility Skoda 1203 in 1:43 scale from the Czech brand Abrex, rendered in the period service finish designated SOOL. The model comes fully assembled and painted and printed from the factory, so it goes straight into a cabinet. It is not a plastic model to be built: you need no glue, paints, abrasives or tools and nothing on it is finished off.
The Skoda 1203 was a light utility van, which went into production at the end of the 1960s and lasted an exceptionally long time on Czechoslovak roads. It was powered by a front-mounted four-cylinder engine of roughly 1.2 liters, following on from the older Skoda 1200 and 1201 line. The low floor and the large glazing of the cab gave the vehicle a characteristic silhouette, thanks to which it is recognizable at first glance even today. A whole range of body versions arose – a box van, a minibus, a flatbed, an ambulance and special bodies for companies, health services and public utilities. It is exactly the service configurations that make the 1203 a rewarding collector's theme: every organization had its own finish, lettering and equipment. The year 1974 in the name refers to the period form of the subject the model captures.
Finished models in 1:43 scale are judged by the condition of the finish and the printing, so handle them by the chassis or through a soft cloth – fingerprints are harder to remove from a glossy finish than one would expect. Do not wash the model with water or alcohol, as a soft brush for dust is enough. Do not display it in direct sunlight over the long term: period shades and fine printing are sensitive to ultraviolet light. In a cabinet it looks best in a group of other utility vehicles of the same scale, or on a simple diorama base.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted from the factory. It is not a kit and calls for no further parts, paints or glue.
