The set contains two 3D-printed resin renderings of the AERO 1D external fuel tank with a capacity of 300 gallons, 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory from Reskit for models of the AV-8B and Harrier II GR.7/9 and T.10 V/STOL attack aircraft.
AERO 1D drop tanks extended the range and endurance of the Harrier family of attack aircraft. They were carried on the underwing pylons and were a common part of the combat configuration on longer missions.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Fill any seams and sand them down with respiratory protection. Prepare the smooth surface of the tanks with a primer and finish with an airbrush.
