3D-printed resin engine nacelles with air intakes for the A-10A/C Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale from Reskit. A replacement for the nacelles of an A-10 kit — it is not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed 3D-printed resin set of engine nacelles, not a model of an aircraft. The set replaces the engine nacelles of the Fairchild Republic A-10A and A-10C Thunderbolt II attack aircraft, including the air intakes and the exhaust nozzles, in 1:48 scale. 3D printing allows fine, deep intakes and faithful nozzles without laborious assembly and filling of plastic. The set is shaped for the modern A-10 kit from Great Wall Hobby. It is made by the Ukrainian company Reskit.
Apply a primer, then the paint. Paint the inside of the intakes light so that the depth shows; build the nozzles up on metal shades and darken them with a wash. Operational soot at the mouths of the nozzles adds realism.
For modelers building the A-10A or the A-10C in 1:48 scale (the Great Wall Hobby kit) who want to raise the level of the nacelles, which are so exposed to view. Working with 3D-printed resin presupposes experience.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Use a respirator and ventilate when sanding resin.
