This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter in 1:48 scale captures the Aerospatiale AS365N Dauphin 2 multi-purpose helicopter. The box holds clear parts for the cockpit and the windows and a decal sheet with marking schemes.
The AS365 Dauphin 2 is a medium twin-engined multi-purpose helicopter developed by Aerospatiale and later built by Eurocopter (today Airbus Helicopters). It serves for transport, rescue and special duties in civil and state service. Its typical features are the elegant fuselage and the shrouded tail rotor of the fenestron type.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the cabin before you close the fuselage up. Glue the clear parts with canopy glue, and clean up and fill the fuselage joints. Lay the paint down with an airbrush over a primer; gloss civil schemes are best covered with a clear coat, with the panel lines picked out gently with a wash.
