The resin detail set from Eduard of the Brassin line contains AIM-7M Sparrow air-to-air guided missiles in 1:48 scale. The cast bodies of the missiles with finely rendered control and stabilizing fins serve to complete the external stores of fighter aircraft realistically. The set usually contains a sheet of decals with markings. It is not an airplane model but an ordnance accessory.
The AIM-7 Sparrow is an American semi-active radar guided medium-range air-to-air missile. The AIM-7M version with new radar guidance served from the 1980s on a number of fighters. It was typical armament of aircraft such as the F-4, the F-15, the F-16 and the F/A-18.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with cyanoacrylate. We recommend spraying the bodies of the missiles, with the small bands and markings filled in by the enclosed decals. Take care to seat them uniformly on the pylons.
This is a detail ordnance accessory in 1:48 scale; the airplane model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
