Eduard 1:48 B-25J The Strafer TFace Paint Mask Set is a set of self-adhesive masks for the glazing of a bomber model, from the outside as well as the inside. It is a painting aid, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut masks from Eduard for a model of the B-25J Mitchell bomber in the Strafer version (an attack aircraft with a solid nose) in 1:48 scale. The TFace version means that the masks cover the canopy glazing from both sides, outside and inside, so the frames can be painted outside as well as inside. The masks are made of a fine self-adhesive film (kabuki) that follows the shapes of the windows exactly. It is not a kit but a painting aid.
The North American B-25J Mitchell was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. The Strafer version with a solid attack nose full of machine guns was used for low-level attacks on ground and shipping targets, especially in the Pacific. The extensive glazing of the cockpit and the nose makes masking one of the more laborious parts of the build.
Lift the masks carefully off the sheet and lay them on clean, degreased glazing. Spray the inner side first (the interior color of the frames), and once the glazing is fitted, the outer side. Press the edges down for a sharp edge with no paint creeping under.
This is a masking set for painting the corresponding model in 1:48 scale; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
