Reskit wheel bay for the BAC/EE Canberra B.(i)8/PR.9, 1:48, is a resin detail set of the wheel bay for models of the British jet bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set of the wheel bay for models of the BAC/EE Canberra B.(i)8/PR.9 in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces or completes the interior of the wheel bay with a finely rendered casting with stiffeners, panels and detail of the installations.
The English Electric (BAC) Canberra was a British jet bomber and reconnaissance aircraft; the B.(i)8 version served as a bomber and intruder and the PR.9 as a high-altitude reconnaissance machine. Wheel bays tend to be simplified in base kits; cast resin adds depth and fidelity here, which are clearly visible with the landing gear down.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue in warm water with detergent, then separate them from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; sand and file with respiratory protection. A dry test of the mating surfaces and any fine adjustment before the final gluing are recommended. It is practical to paint the bay and pick it out with a wash before closing the airframe.
This is an add-on detail set, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
