A resin detail set from the Czech brand CMK in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a complete replacement for the cockpit of a model of the British BAC Lightning fighter in the F1 and F1A versions. The set brings a new cockpit tub, sidewalls, an ejection seat, a control stick and finely worked instrument panels that capture the differences between the versions. The instrument dials are printed on a clear film. It is intended for more experienced modelers.
The BAC (English Electric) Lightning F1 and F1A were among the early production versions of this British supersonic interceptor. The aircraft, with its distinctive two engines stacked one above the other, excelled in an enormous rate of climb; the F1A version brought, among other things, the ability to refuel in flight.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding. The cockpit will stand out after airbrush painting, emphasis on the instruments and a fine patina. Finish the interior before closing the fuselage.
The set contains resin parts and a printed film only. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
