This is NOT an airplane model but a small resin detail set - protective intake covers (FOD covers, that is covers against the entry of foreign objects) for the BAE Hawk trainer and light combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. The resin parts cover the air intake (and the nozzle where applicable) and imitate the state of a parked aircraft on the ground.
The BAE Hawk is a British jet trainer used also in the role of a light combat machine and as a display team aircraft. On the ground its intakes are routinely covered with prominent, often brightly colored covers that keep dirt out of the engine. It is precisely these covers that give a static scene its authenticity.
Separate the parts from the casting block, wash them free of the mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. The covers are usually painted in bright warning colors (often red), sometimes with Remove Before Flight lettering; that can be added with suitable decals. Fit them only at the end.
The set contains resin accessory parts. The kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
