A resin set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer CMK brings replacement mainwheels for the British Bristol Blenheim Mk.I aircraft and its Mk.IF night fighter version, with a smooth pattern on the tire casing. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for advanced modelers. The cast wheels have crisper detail of the hub and the casing than the plastic parts and can easily be shown with a realistic contact on the ground.
The Bristol Blenheim was a British twin-engined light bomber from the beginning of the Second World War; the Mk.IF version served as a night fighter. Wheels with a smooth casing match the period form and are visible from below even with the landing gear retracted.
Wash the mold release agent off the wheels, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the hubs and the casings separately; a resin wheel can be sanded lightly on the underside for the impression of carrying weight. Suggest dust and mud with pigments.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin accessory. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
