British Rocket Projectiles RP-3 60lb S.A.P. 1:48 is a resin set of British aircraft rockets of the Second World War from the Czech maker Eduard (Brassin range) for 1:48 plastic models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set of underwing stores. It contains eight British RP-3 unguided aircraft rockets with the 60 lb S.A.P. (semi-armor-piercing) warhead. The set is completed by photo-etched parts and decals for a faithful finish.
The RP-3 (Rocket Projectile 3 inch) was a British unguided rocket used widely from 1943 by fighter-bombers and by naval aviation against ground targets, vehicles, fortifications, ships and submarines. The 60 lb S.A.P. variant carried a semi-armor piercing warhead effective against armored and hardened targets.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Bend the photo-etched fins over an edge; they are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the rockets according to period schemes and apply the decals over a gloss surface. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
