The set contains three BRU-41/A multiple armament racks (Improved Multiple Ejector Rack, IMER) in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but a 3D printed resin accessory intended for more experienced modelers; the racks serve to hang several bombs on a single pylon of F/A-18A/B/C/D and AV-8B models.
The BRU-41/A is a multiple ejector rack used by the US Navy and the Marine Corps. It allows several bombs to be carried on one hardpoint and thus extends the load capacity of the aircraft. It is still in operational service on Hornet and Harrier II machines today.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, cut off the print supports and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush; the fine details of the racks stand out after the panel lines are brought out and light weathering is added.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, bombs and the base model are not included in the package.
