About product

Closed wing radiators Bf 109E 1:48 (3DF)

It is not an airplane model but a 3D printed resin accessory in 1:48 scale for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter. The set sharpens up the underwing coolant radiators and offers them with the outlet flaps closed. It is intended for the Bf 109E kit from Eduard.

What it is for

On the Bf 109E the radiators under the wing are among the places that catch the eye. 3D printing allows finer leading edges on the flaps, thin fins and cleaner detail than injection molded plastic can manage. The variant with closed flaps matches the aircraft in flight or shortly after the engine has been shut down.

Usage tips

  • Wash the print resin residue off the parts and cut off the print supports.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Before gluing, check the fit in the wing of your model and adjust the seat if need be.

Who the accessory is for

For modelers building the Bf 109E in 1:48 who want to make the underwing radiators more realistic.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
