Curtiss P-40K - Radio Compartment is a 3D-printed detail set of the radio compartment for a build of the P-40K in 1:48 scale from the firm Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory. Using direct 3D printing technology, the set renders the radio compartment of the P-40K precisely and is meant to replace the corresponding plastic parts of the basic kit in 1:48 scale. The parts stand out through fine, crisp detail that is hard to reach in injection-molded plastic.
A fully shaped radio compartment behind the cockpit with a three-dimensional rendering of the instruments, the frames and the small fittings. That makes it possible to present the compartment open and thereby show the internal equipment of the machine believably.
Before building, wash the parts free of any remains from printing and let them dry. Cut the print supports off and smooth the surfaces down. Super glue (cyanoacrylate) has proved its worth for bonding, because resin and 3D-printed parts cannot be joined with ordinary plastic cement. Treating the groundwork with primer and painting with an airbrush are recommended.
This is an accessory set, not the model itself. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
