An accessory for building the French fighter aircraft Dassault Super Mystere B.2 in 1:48 scale. The parts are not of polystyrene and are bonded with super glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Dassault Super Mystere B.2 was a French single-seat jet fighter of the second half of the 1950s. It grew out of the earlier Mystere series and became the first series-built Western European aircraft to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. You will recognize it by its markedly swept wing, the oval air intake in the nose and the low-set cockpit. Besides the French air force it was used by the Israeli air force as well, and some of the machines ended their service in Honduras.
The set extends a kit of the Super Mystere B.2 in 1:48 scale with ready-made parts. Which place on the aircraft it covers and which kit it is built for are given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them in full before starting work and dry-fit the parts into your own kit parts. With accessories it is usually necessary to cut the original shape out of the plastic and to level the surface, so that the replacement part seats without pressure.
The parts are not of polystyrene, ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them, so make the joint with super glue or with two-part epoxy. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the edge does not break off. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry properly, otherwise the paint holds badly on an ungreased surface. French machines flew mostly in bare metal, while the Israeli ones received a camouflage finish.
The set is an accessory to a kit. The model of the aircraft itself, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
