de Havilland Hornet F.1 1:48 from Trumpeter — an injection-molded plastic kit of the British twin-engine piston fighter from the end of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British twin-engine piston fighter de Havilland Hornet F.1 in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The model has a detailed cockpit with an instrument panel, well detailed engines, four-blade propellers with separate spinners and an optionally open canopy. Decals for two machines are enclosed.
The de Havilland Hornet was a British twin-engine piston fighter that continued the wooden construction school of the famous Mosquito. It was powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engines and was among the fastest piston fighters of its time. It entered service at the very end of the Second World War, served after the war with British fighter units and also proved itself as a strike aircraft during operations in Malaya.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting, mask the canopy and spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats. For a polished metal or a dark postwar scheme a smooth base pays off. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
