This is a resin set of replacement wheels for models of the McDonnell F-101A/C Voodoo fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic wheels from the box with more faithful castings. The package holds the wheels of the nose as well as of the main landing gear and a self-adhesive masking template for spraying the hub and the tire separately.
The castings have a finely defined tread as well as detail on the hubs, and the lower part of the tires of the main gear is slightly flattened, so that it gives the impression of the load of a standing aircraft. Replacing plastic wheels with resin ones is among the quickest ways of visibly raising the level of detail on a model.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting we recommend applying a primer; with the enclosed mask you then separate the color of the hub and the tire easily.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
