The plastic kit Italeri F-15C Eagle in 1:48 scale: the American twin-engined air superiority fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Italeri represents the single-seat F-15C Eagle in 1:48 scale. The model captures the characteristic massive airframe with its twin fins, large wing leading-edge root extensions and roomy cockpit. The specific contents of the box and the decal options follow the enclosed instructions.
The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engined fighter designed to gain and hold air superiority. Compared with the original version, the single-seat F-15C brought a greater fuel load and modernized avionics. Thanks to its powerful engines, its large radar and its strong air-to-air armament it is among the most successful fighters of its era: in the fight for air superiority it built up an extraordinary record and it still serves with a number of air forces around the world. Its characteristic features are the twin fins, the massive angular air intakes and the large carrying capacity for external stores.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and take care over the clean fit of the massive air intakes and the fuselage parts, where the seams tend to be most conspicuous. It is a good idea to work up and shade the cockpit and the ejection seat before closing the glazing, which is masked before spraying. For the typical gray camouflage schemes of the Eagle an airbrush and fine shading of the individual panels are ideal; paint the external stores and the tanks separately and fit them at the very end. Settle the decals onto a gloss coat and seal them with a matte or semi-gloss overcoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
