A resin, 3D-printed detail set from Reskit in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory (an aftermarket set) that replaces the air intakes on the Tamiya F-4B Phantom II kit. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want to raise the realism of their Phantom. To use it you need the base Tamiya plastic kit, which is not included in the package.
The side air intakes and their ducts are among the striking features of the Phantom, and plastic kits often simplify them and build them up from several parts with seams. The 3D-printed intakes offer more faithful geometry, a smooth inner surface and fine detail, which sharpens this prominent area of the forward airframe and makes cleaning up easier.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove uncured print resin residue. Carefully cut away the print supports with a sharp blade and sand the surfaces. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) - ordinary cement for plastic will not hold on resin. Use respiratory protection and ventilate while sanding and cutting. Apply a primer before painting.
This is an accessory (a detail set), not a standalone model. The base Tamiya kit is required and is not included in the package. Paints and glue are not enclosed.
