Turned 7.5 cm projectiles for the Panzer IV in 1:16 scale from Aber: twelve pieces in various forms. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of twelve turned metal projectiles of 7.5 cm caliber for a model of the German Panzer IV tank in the large 1:16 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory with which you fill the ammunition rack in the interior or create a scene of ammunition being loaded. Turned metal parts have a perfectly smooth and symmetrical surface, which shows at once on a round, because every asymmetry is visible on a cylindrical shape.
In its early versions the Panzer IV had a short 7.5 cm gun intended mainly to support the infantry; later it received a long barrel with a markedly higher muzzle velocity and became a full-fledged anti-tank machine. Several kinds of ammunition were used with both: armor-piercing, high-explosive and shaped-charge, and they differed in the shape and in the color marking of the projectile, which let the crew tell at a glance what they were picking up.
Degrease the metal parts with alcohol before painting and apply a primer, otherwise paint will not hold on the smooth surface. A brass case can be left in bare metal and only darkened a little, and the projectile is then painted according to the type of ammunition. Do the color bands and markings last and with masking tape, because a line drawn on a cylinder by hand never comes out straight. In a large scale everything shows, so it pays to polish the surface.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
